By This past week, I was searching for some new fonts and some display fonts really stood out to me. Unfortunately, I rarely have projects that allow me to use these kinds of fonts but I’m dying to make something with them!
A display font is usually a bold or variated font that is used for headings but is rarely sized down for small text. Therefore, distressed and bold styles are often the choice for titles and headings but never used for body text because they lose readability.
Sergio Trendy Italic is my favorite right now. I think it would be great in a magazine or used in a t-shirt design! Hackney is a close second that just belongs on a poster or a mystery book cover.
