How to Apply a Vinyl Decal

Here’s a quick video showing how to apply a vinyl decal to a mailbox. If your mailbox is powder coated like mine in this video, rubbing alcohol is a great choice for cleaning it. However, if you have a painted mailbox, rubbing alcohol can remove the paint, so an all-purpose cleaner or soapy water is a better option. Make sure to clean it well before applying your decal. Any oils or dirt will cause your decal to not stick. It’s also important to apply only when the surface is warm. 50°F is the minimum transfer temperature and warmer is better!
